REWRITE |:| “And all the colors I am inside have not been invented yet.” -Shel Silverstein
The human eye can see millions and millions of colors. With a capacity to soothe, relax and excite, among a great many other things, color can influence our lives, our healing, our moods and our environments in a profound way. Color connects us to places, stirs up feelings, and allows us to express ourselves. Color is an influencer to design, a personal identifyier and a means for expression to both convey and determine mood. Color is often a starting point in design, one that sets the tone and dictates the course for the project as both an energy marker and an expression of personality.
Our own color preferences evolve and change overtime, which makes it even more fun to look back on and reflect on our own history by recounting our love for the colors in our past.
Choosing a new color helps us look to the future and is a great way to REWRITE our spaces, moods and expressions. Identifying with a new color allows us to recommit and rethink how we want to feel and express ourselves.
Feeling like you need a design or inspiration REWRITE? Think quick! What is your current favorite color? If it doesn't feel right anymore, take some time to REWRITE it and incorporate it into your favorite spaces and objects, and use it to personalize your physical world. A new color is a great design REWRITE.
